The Afros - Kickin’ Afrolistics (Clark Kent Superlistic mix)

I remember setting up my cassette deck so I could record the audio from my tv and vcr and putting this song on a mixed tape along with the songs from CB4, some Ice Cube videos and a 3rd Bass Rap City spotlight.

The Afros feature DJ Hurricane. The video features tons of ridiculousness.

3rd Bass - The Gas Face

I love Zev Love X’s verse:

Perkin his brim to the rim of my cup
Don’t tempt me, you’re empty, so fill’er up!
Is I’m talkin coffee or cocoa, is you loco?
Cash or credit for unleaded at Sunoco

From wikipedia: In early 2008, Pete (Nice of 3rd Bass) opened McGreevy’s 3rd Base Bar, a sports bar in Boston with Dropkick Murphys’ band member Ken Casey.

The first book I am going to read in the 52 week pledge/garbage reading thing.
Billy Wilder is one of my favorite screenwriters. This movie is one of my favorites mostly because there’s a lot of shouting in it. And zingers. Everyone is always zinging one another because they’re miserable in a prisoner of war camp. Notable is the cameo by the Chipmunks’ father, Dave.
“If I ever run into any of you bums on a street corner, just let’s pretend we’ve never met before.”

Gassenhauer - Local Youths

Thanks to the Wankin Family for introducing me to this song. The It Came From The Pit compilation is where the song originally appeared. The comp is pretty solid - Stretch Marks, SNFU, NoMeansNo, Problem Children, My Dog Popper, Sudden Impact.

Ceildh Connection October 2003 - Death From Above at the Halifax Pop Explosion (from a polaroid)
I have a few more polaroids from the show. For some bizarre reason I gave two away to some girl who was visiting from Europe and wanted a souvenir. She really put me on the spot. I needed a backbone. Still do.
