Speaking of Mike Kirsch and old Lookout bands - FUEL - Take Effect. The full length might be better, but this song from the first 7” always sticks with me when I think of Fuel. I love the affected talking vocals near the end of the song.
Just an example of great melodic punk/hardcore in the vein of early Fugazi.
